A permanent outdoor puppet theatre in a striking building painted with children's portraits, occupying the central Binnenwegplein since 1980. Three rotating puppeteers perform with hand puppets telling stories ranging from fairy tales to comical narratives. Performances are brief, free, and happen three times on each performance afternoon.

One of Europe's largest public libraries in a striking architectural landmark, with dedicated family floors featuring children's books, play areas, and reading activities. Getting muddy and wet is the entire point.

Free petting zoo in the heart of Kralingse Bos offering close interactions with goats, pigs, peacocks, chickens, rabbits and other farm animals. Natural play areas with slides, swings and climbing structures scattered throughout. Staff available to share animal facts; information boards dotted around the farm provide educational details.
