Children's Farm · Ages 2+
A city farm where children can get up close to farm animals including goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, and chickens in a green setting with playground. Kids can walk among the animals, peek in stalls, and feed animals with staff supervision on designated days. Educational signage explains animal facts throughout the farm, with a covered shelter providing year-round coffee and tea.

Wildlife Park · All Ages
A free outdoor deer enclosure housing about 25 fallow deer and peacocks, cared for by foresters within the 200-hectare Kralingse Bos park. Children can watch curious deer up close, particularly baby fawns in spring. Broader area includes a playground, paddling pool, children's farm De Kraal, plus panoramic views of the Rotterdam skyline from lakeside areas.

Working Farm · Ages 3+
The world's first floating dairy farm, moored in Rotterdam's Merwe harbor, houses 40 cows that graze on recycled urban waste and feed from the city. Visitors can observe transparent barn structures showing cattle, milking robots, and dairy production, then purchase fresh yogurt, cheese and milk from the farm shop. This pioneering sustainable agriculture project doubles as an educational center about climate adaptation and circular farming.

Children's Farm · Ages 1+
Urban children's farm at the edge of Zuiderpark offering hands-on encounters with farm animals including cows, geese, rabbits, goats and sheep. Walk the grounds for animal viewing, educational signage about traditional Dutch agriculture, and guided staff conversations; additionally featuring a heritage garden and educational vegetable plot. A themed farm adventure centered on beloved Dutch TV characters Fien & Teun, with hands-on activities including tractor rides, pony rides, milking cows, sailing dinghies and exploring willow mazes. Kids earn a farm diploma by completing puzzle challenges throughout the park, all while learning about Dutch farm life, nature and traditional crafts. Multiple restaurants serve pancakes, regional specialities and farm-fresh fare.

Leiden's largest children's farm with interactive animal experiences including petting, feeding via automated dispensers, and Wednesday pony rides. Interactive tulip museum and spectacular outdoor show garden featuring 4 million tulips in 700 varieties grown by a three-generation family bulb farm. Visitors explore the complete cycle of Dutch tulip cultivation through authentic machines and historic objects, then pick their own bouquet in an indoor garden. A treasure hunt engages children throughout the experience.
