Museum Speelklok
A museum housed in a medieval building dedicated to self-playing musical instruments—from ornate barrel organs to tiny music boxes. Most instruments are still functional and played live during hourly guided tours. The museum includes Dutch street organs, musical automata with moving figures, and the famous Violina. Free guided tours bring the collection alive with stories and live performances. Additional family-friendly activities include kids' scavenger hunt with Toon the monkey, Music Factory to compose songs, and Escape Game (8+).
Take the free hourly guided tour—the experience is significantly enhanced by hearing the instruments play live and learning their stories from knowledgeable guides rather than reading labels alone.
