Pier 26 Science Playground
Marine science playground featuring two enormous climbable sturgeon sculptures designed as endangered Hudson River fish. Children climb inside and over the nearly 80-foot wooden structures, learning fish anatomy and ecology while exploring interactive features shaped like seaweed and shrimp. Located on Pier 26 with striking Hudson River views and adjacent water features including a misting area during warm seasons.

The playground is extremely small and gets very crowded on warm weekends with limited shade around the fish structures; visit on weekdays or cooler months to avoid crowds.
