Paddington Bear Pawprint Trail
A life-sized bronze sculpture of the beloved children's character, located on Platform 1 of Paddington Station beneath the iconic clock, serving as the first stop of the Paddington Bear Trail. Created by sculptor Marcus Cornish and unveiled by author Michael Bond in 2000, it marks the exact spot where the fictional bear first arrived from Peru. The statue depicts Paddington in his signature blue duffle coat and red hat, holding a suitcase with his famous label: 'Please look after this bear. Thank you.' A dedicated Paddington Bear shop in the station sells merchandise and maps of related attractions nearby, making it a perfect photo opportunity and starting point for exploring Paddington-themed locations across London.
