Zuiderzeemuseum
Recreated 1900s fishing village with over 140 authentic historic buildings from the former Zuiderzee region, including houses, workshops, a church, and a shipyard that children can explore and enter. Interactive demonstrations of traditional crafts, live artisans, historic games and hands-on activities throughout the village create an immersive, playful learning experience. Ferry ride included with admission connects the outdoor village to the indoor museum with maritime exhibitions.
Open daily 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Enkhuizen is just one hour from Amsterdam by direct train; cobblestone and wooden paths require sturdy strollers, so all-terrain buggies recommended if bringing infants. Book tickets online in advance to save money and skip ticket office queues.
