Wild Willem is a grumpy old pirate who prefers to be alone in his self-built hut in the woods. One day, a little boy stands on Wild Willem's hut. The boy no longer dares to come down from the roof. Wild Willem helps the boy. After this good deed, the old pirate keeps finding little gifts on his doorstep. Wild Willem and the little boy, Frank, soon become best friends. Wild Willem tells Frank all his adventures.
