Lisa and the Brown Prince
On a clear evening, after the sun has set and the moon looks longingly at the stars around her, Lisa leans out of the window of her little cottage. Suddenly, in the bright moonlight, she sees a large palace standing atop the mountain. She can hardly believe her eyes; she has never seen a palace there before. "Could a prince live there?" Lisa wonders.

Curious to see how this Caribbean fairy tale continues? Then come and listen and enjoy the most beautiful illustrations in Wijnand Stomp's 'Kamishi-bai' magic box. The master of Caribbean storytelling alternates his many characters with tropical songs. Together with his hand puppet 'Vogel-vriend', he takes young and old on an adventure. When the snake of his story begins to slither, everyone imagines themselves in a fairy tale world.

Wijnand Stomp published this story in 1997 because he could not find any books for his own children featuring a brown prince as the main character, as a counterpoint to the eternal image of the (white) prince on the white horse.
