Falconer With Birds of Prey
Admire the impressive birds of prey of our resident falconer in the historic atmosphere of the ruins.
The falconer talks about the centuries-old art of falconry, the different species of birds of prey, and the role of the falconer in the Middle Ages. You can view the birds up close. If conditions permit, it is possible to hold a bird yourself, or the birds of prey will take to the air for a demonstration. This makes a visit to the ruins extra special.
Please note: on the days the resident falconer is present, dogs are not allowed on the premises for the safety and well-being of the birds of prey.
Keep an eye on the website for up-to-date information regarding the falconer's arrival and any changes to the program.
The falconer will be present every Friday during the summer holidays of 2026! A visit is included with an admission ticket.
