An intimate, multidisciplinary arts venue combining theatre, music, dance and puppetry created by artists from around the world. Housed in a former horse tram depot turned national monument metres from Vondelpark. Hosts interactively and lively weekly kids programming with Brazilian-inspired shows, music/story sessions, and family carnivals blending culture, dance, and play.

Hidden gem natural playground in Amsterdam-West with climbing rock, water fountains, swings, tunnels and large sports field. Children's Farm · Ages 1–12
Hidden urban farm nestled in Amsterdam-South where children interact with farm animals including sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and pigs. Regular activities include pony riding on Wednesday afternoons, guided animal petting sessions throughout the week, and supervised craft workshops in the sheep shed every Wednesday. The farm features a native tree garden (heemtuin) with a small playground for climbing and play.

Horse Riding · Ages 2+
Historic 1882 riding school and museum blending living horses with grandeur. Kids can observe horse riding classes and performances in traditional costumes, pet horses, explore ornate stables and riding halls, and enjoy tea from the elevated café. Active equestrian training continues daily and is visible from viewing balconies. Horse riding classes available for children ages 2 and up.

A community-run urban farm and green oasis in Amsterdam-West. Large playground with varied equipment: sandpit, slides, swings, climbing structures. Next to Stadsboerderij Zimmerhoeve, a neighborhood farm offering hands-on animal contact and educational activities.

A sprawling 9,000-square-meter green playground built from the ground up with community input. Water features dominate the landscape — ziplines across the valley, stepping stones, a water mill, and a suspension bridge over the stream. Designed for every child to play together, including those using wheelchairs or with other disabilities, with ramps, accessible play equipment, and thoughtful details throughout.

Build wooden huts, ride ponies and craft on a tree-filled island playground in Rembrandtpark. Seven ponies provide riding lessons on weekdays, and volunteers run extra crafts and cooking activities on Wednesdays, Saturdays and during school holidays. A treehouse, archery, water activities with paddle boats and a zip line over water for swimmers, and spaces for campfires invite hands-on adventure. Construction playground suitable for 4 and up; small fenced area for kids under 6 makes this location suitable for younger kids as well.




Pick-Your-Own Farm · Ages 3+
Organic orchard where visitors pick their own fruit—apples, pears, berries, plums—straight from trees and bushes. Free-range chickens lay eggs scattered across the premises that children can collect. On-site garden café with homemade apple pie, organic shop, and playground activities including pallet mazes and tunnel trails.




Historic Site · Ages 4+
A storybook medieval castle from 1285 with a drawbridge, moat, corner towers and ramparts overlooking the Vecht River. Explore period rooms with audio guides, try on knight's chainmail, climb the West Tower (83 steps), do treasure hunts, dress in period costume, and wander formal Renaissance gardens with herb and vegetable plots. Falconry demonstrations run April-November. Nice cafe with play area for kids and playground on castle grounds.
