The Children's Bookstore Writing Club
Are you also absolutely crazy about stories and poems? Do you enjoy reading so much, are you full of ideas, and do you think: I want to/can do this too?
Then come to the first Children's Bookstore Writing Club with the theme summer on Wednesday, July 15, from 3 to 4 p.m.
We read the most beautiful excerpts from the best children's books and poetry collections together. We draw inspiration from texts by the best Dutch and Flemish writers, as well as from our own surroundings, and we work on assignments to use our own imagination and fantasy, as well as our senses.
How do you come up with a good character? How do you make a beautiful comparison? We are going to figure all that out ourselves while playing and drawing with words with pen and paper.
By the end, you will have created your own poem/story about Summer. The one of 2026? The one from when you were very little? Or one in the distant past, the future, or in a world of your own invention?
Writing teacher Charlene is already curious…
We provide all the materials, so you only need to bring your own imagination.
